Overview
Smash Design partnered with Coca-Cola to create a custom brand experience at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The goal was to design interactive installations that would attract attention and engage thousands of visitors.
The activation included two main elements. First, we built a meet-and-greet booth for professional cowboys to sign autographs. In addition, we created a massive 14-foot horseshoe display with a floating acrylic sign.
As a result, the installation delivered a bold and memorable Coca-Cola brand experience that encouraged guest interaction and social sharing.
Process
To begin, our team designed both installations to match Coca-Cola’s branding and the rodeo environment. At the same time, we focused on creating structures that could handle heavy foot traffic.
Next, we fabricated the booth completely from scratch. This included building the structure, sourcing all props, and integrating branded elements.
In addition, we handled all digital printing in-house. Because of this, we maintained quality and ensured brand consistency across every detail.
We then constructed the 14-foot horseshoe feature. The floating acrylic sign added a unique visual element and helped draw attention from across the event space.
Finally, our team installed both pieces on-site. This ensured everything was ready for a smooth and successful activation.
Results
The finished Coca-Cola brand experience attracted large crowds throughout the event. As guests moved through the space, the installations encouraged interaction and participation.
In particular, the oversized horseshoe became a popular photo destination. Thousands of attendees stopped to take pictures and share them online.
As a result, the activation generated strong social media engagement and extended Coca-Cola’s reach beyond the event.
Most importantly, the project showed how custom brand activations can create memorable experiences and drive real audience connection.
