Project Spotlight: NASA Wind Tunnels for Space Center Houston

Overview

Smash Design partnered with NASA Space Center Houston to design and build three custom 13-foot wind tunnels for educational and exhibit use. These installations demonstrate how wind and air flow behave around different objects.

The goal was to create a clear, visual way to show airflow patterns in action. As a result, visitors can see how air bends, moves, and reacts in real time through interactive demonstration.
