Overview
Smash Design partnered with vfTV, a leading Vietnamese news station based in Los Angeles, to design and build a complete television set for their new Houston studio.
The goal was to create a professional broadcast environment that looked modern and performed well on camera. At the same time, the set needed to reflect vfTV’s brand and support daily production needs.
As a result, our team delivered a custom studio set that combined strong visuals with practical functionality.
Process
To begin, we worked closely with the vfTV team to understand their production goals and visual style. This helped guide the overall design direction.
Next, we developed a set layout that balanced aesthetics and usability. In addition, we selected materials and finishes that would look clean and professional on camera.
We then fabricated each component in-house. Because of this, we maintained quality control and kept the project on schedule.
Finally, we installed the set in the Houston studio and ensured everything worked as planned. This included testing camera angles, lighting compatibility, and overall performance.
Results
The completed television set gave vfTV a polished and professional studio space. As a result, their Houston branch launched with a strong visual presence.
In addition, the custom design improved daily production workflows. The team could film content efficiently while maintaining a consistent on-screen look.
